After starting his career back in 1966! It is fair to say that John has experienced every conceivable market to which he has literally sold thousands of local properties in his career and is just as remarkably enthusiastic on the next sale!

Although “oldschool” in his approach he has embraced the modern era with enthusiasm and is frequently called upon as an expert witness in resolving property disputes.

John has been passionately involved in supporting the local community with his 25 year membership of the Coulsdon manor rotary club.

John founded John Brown Estate Agents almost 50 years ago and is delighted to pass the business over to mark who shares the same high professional status. A great partnership with tremendous expertise shared with a great sense of humour.

Away from work, John enjoys family life to the full particularly engaging with his grandchildren, dog walking and holidays away in his motorhome.

With over 40 years of dedicated experience in the local community, Mark Youll is a name synonymous with trust, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to people. Whether it’s through his longstanding career or his everyday interactions, Mark has built a reputation for reliability and integrity that speaks for itself.

Away from work, Mark enjoys life to the fullest-he’s a passionate golfer, always keen for a round, and a loyal supporter of Crystal Palace, standing by his team through every high and low. His down-to-earth nature, sharp sense of humour, and deep local roots make him a valued friend, colleague, and community figure.

Mark brings heart, heritage, and a personal touch to everything he does—and that’s what sets him apart.

Elliot joined the team here in 2024 and brought with him a lifelong connection to the Coulsdon area—having lived in Old Coulsdon his whole life. With a keen eye for property and a genuine passion for sales, Elliot takes pride in helping clients find the perfect home and guiding them through every step of the process.

Coming from a family involved in property development, Elliot has grown up around the industry and has developed a strong understanding of what makes a property truly stand out. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find Elliot under the bonnet of his classic car—restoring and tinkering with it is a long-time hobby of his, and also enjoy a round of golf when weather permits!

Denise Kavanagh is an experienced estate agent with over 10 years in the industry, specialising in sales progression. She lives locally in Caterham and brings a strong understanding of the local property market. Denise enjoys working for a small, family-run agency where professionalism, providing a client lead service, and being able ensure every transaction runs smoothly and efficiently for clients are core values.

Tara is passionate about residential lettings and brings over 30 years of experience in the rental sector, having worked with both a large corporate firm and smaller independent agencies.  She prides herself on sourcing high-quality tenants, recognising that the right tenant is key to delivering a smooth, stress-free lettings experience for landlords.

With a personable, approachable manner and extensive local knowledge, Tara has built a strong and loyal client base, maintaining long-standing relationships with both landlords and tenants. Outside of lettings, she is passionate about fitness and enjoys teaching and participating in local community classes.
